MOT-Service Centre Services 
Overview We offer the following main services:
MOT Testing 
We provide a Class IV MOT Testing capability utilising the latest equipment that allows us to test all types of four-wheeled vehicles up to 3000 kg (DGW). All vehicles over three years old have to be tested annually to ensure they are safe to drive on the road, and do not break strict vehicle emission regulations. Our MOT Test follows the Vehicle Inspectorate's
standard and comprises the following main checks.
Please note that vehicles that fail and are booked in to Minimaster for their repairs are eligible to a free retest. Servicing 
We provide a range of servicing for vehicles of all makes and models, but have some special services for minis, owing to their need for greater care. As per the manufacturer's guidance, we provide the following main servicing:

The Autumn Service is designed for the change in season from summer to winter where brakes, tyres, lights, anti-freeze, oil viscocity, electricals etc. are really important to be checked to ensure safe driving in dark or difficult driving conditions. Also, an engine tune, appropriate oil and correct spark plugs can significantly improve economy. 
The Handling & Suspension Service is a complete check of wheels, tyres, wheel bearings, shock absorbers, wheel alignment etc. to ensure safe handling and better wear of tyres. Properly aligned suspension can also improve economy too. The Economy Service is a service geared around optimising performance. This not includes tuning of the engine to ensure optimum efficiency, but also includes all aspects of unnecessary drag, such wheel alignment, tyre condition, oil viscocity etc. 
All servicing is carried out with great care and attention. All aspects of the service are recorded to ensure we have a complete history of your vehicle and can advise on its best care. If we find anything unexpected, we ensure that you are consulted before anything is done. We will happily explain what has been found, and what the options are, leaving you to decide. Diagnostics and Tuning 
With engines becoming increasingly computerised and full of complicated electricals, the need to invest in special diagnostic equipment is ever more important. We have the latest in engine diagnostic platforms, and have special diagnostics machines for the classic Mini electronic management systems, and are in the process of getting equipment for the new Mini, which is currently jealously guarded by BMW and its dealerships. 
Our latest investment is in a Sun DGA 1200 computerised gas and diesel exhaust analyser with engine diagnostic extension capabilities. These operate through the computer that can be connected to our network and other databases. We can obtain extra modules as and when we need them. For intermittent faults or faults that only occur when the car is at speed, we can use our rolling road facility to perform advanced diagnostics, and analyse the engine under load. This unique ability allows us to diagnose and correct the most difficult problems. |
